200g White sugar
110g All-purpose flour
38g Unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ tsp Baking powder
¾ tsp Baking soda
½ tsp Salt
1 Egg
120ml Milk
60ml Vegetable oil
1 tsp Vanilla extract
120ml Boiling water

Steps
Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F). Grease and flour an 8-inch round baking pan.
Stir
200g white sugar
,
110g all-purpose flour
,
38g unsweetened cocoa powder
,
¾ tsp baking powder
,
¾ tsp baking soda
, and
½ tsp salt
together in a large bowl.
Add
1 egg
,
120ml milk
,
60ml vegetable oil
and
1 tsp vanilla extract
; mix for 2 minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer.
Stir in the
120ml boiling water
. The batter will be thin.
Pour evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
